After more then three decades of refereeing all around the world the Slovenian basketball referee Iztok Rems officially retired on Saturday according to Adriatic League website. Rems officially retired after the friendly game between Union Olimpija and Panathinaikos in Ljubljana, Slovenia
Rems, who will continue working as the general secretary of the Slovenian basketball Association, has been refereeing at World and European Championships, Olympic Games, ULEB Cup and Euroleague competitions, FIBA competitions and national Championships. He was one of the most respected and known referees in Europe.
