Ivkovic returns and what of Spanoulis?

The Serbian Yoda returns to Olympiakos to battle it out against his brother-in-law..

According to contra.gr, Dusan Ivkovic will be the new head coach of Olympiakos for the next 2 seasons. The article says that an official announcement should follow soon enough. This the consensus of Greek media although his agent denies it. Ivkovic has a special place in the heart of the Olympiakos fans as he led the team wining the Triple Crown in 1997. Vaggelis Aggelou and Milan Tomic are expected to be his assistants.

If this deal goes through then it brings back rumors of weeks past about Ivkovic coaching Olympiakos and Spanoulis joining him. The information from Greece is mixed.. some sources say that Spanoulis and Panathinaikos have fallen out over 300,000 euros and other sources deny these rumors. So your guess is as good as mine. Is Raznatovic pushing Panathinaikos for more money? It is possible. It's also possible that Spanoulis was and still is buying time to see who will be the new head coach of Olympiakos. For all we know it could be a very serious deciding factor for the Greek Euroleague star.
