Maccabi in talks with Douby and Hendrix

David Blatt is not wasting time indeed.. more transfers to follow..?

Maccabi are in talks with Quincy Douby(1.91-SG/PG) and Richard Hendrix(2.02-PF) and the negotiations are proceeding quite well according to inside sources, although it wouldn't be wise to say that the deal is final just yet.

Douby, who has Haitian roots, was selected by Sacramento in the 19th position of the 2006 Draft by the Sacramento Kings. He stayed with the Kings for 3 seasons and also played in the NBDL for the Erie Bayhawks. He also signed a 10-day contract with the Toronto Raptors. In November he moved to Turkey and Darussafaka where he had a great run averaging 23.6 points 3 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 21 games. This kind of  performance attracted lots of interest and now David Blatt wants to use him as a scorer in Maccabi.

The other candidate is Richard Hendrix, who was the Revelation player of the ACB. The power forward of Granada wowed the crowds and the media in Spain and made a smashing debut in Europe in his first pro season overseas. After being selected by the Golden State Warriors at number 19 in the 2nd round of the NBA Draft 2008 he spent some time in the NBDL before playing for Granada. Averaging 13.3 points 6.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 33 games in the ACB, he managed to attract eyes from all around Europe and he does deserve it.
